New Delhi: Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon's film Raabta, which release in theatres on June 9, has failed to impress the critics and the audience. The film has managed to collect a total of 15.93 crore so far, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh. On its opening day, Raabta earned a decent Rs 5.61 crore. However, the film's box-office collection dropped by over Rs 50 lakh on Saturday. The film, directed by Dinesh Vijan, is based on reincarnation. Raabta narrates the story of Shiv (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Saira (Kriti Sanon), who are separated by death and later meet each other after centuries. The film shows how their love transcends over time.

Here's how much Raabta made over the weekend.

Raabta also features Jim Sarbh, who plays the prime antagonist. The film, which has been made on a budget of Rs 55 crore, was embroiled in a copyright suit ahead of its release. The makers of the Telugu film Magadheera alleged that some portions of Raabta had similarities with their film.

Raja Sen, in his review for NDTV, said that Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon's film promised a refreshing take on a relationship based on cockiness instead of conventional sap, Dinesh Vijan's Raabta is let down. Giving the film 1.5 stars out of 5, he wrote: "Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon are trapped in a senseless film."

Raabta marks Dinesh Vijan's debut as a director. He has earlier produced films like Being Cyrus, Love Aaj Kal, Cocktail, Finding Fanny and Badlapur.

Raabta released in theatres along with Behen Hogi Teri, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan and Hollywood film The Mummy, starring Tom Cruise.
