Dravid: Just being talented doesn't mean you will be successful Test cricketer...I hope some of the current youngsters play for a long time for the Indian cricket team.
Dravid: Indian cricket is in a good place...there are some exciting bunch of talent waiting in the wings.
Dravid: After IPL, in June I will have some time to think about the future.
Dravid: Can't pick my best knock...180 at Eden Gardens, 233 at Adelaide, 270 at Rawalpindi, etc come at the top...but you cannot choose between your sons.
Dravid: It was disappointing to drop of catches..I can get over getting out but nothing disappoints me more than dropping a catch.
Dravid: Never took 'The Wall' tag seriously..used to joke about it...I never walked around thinking 'I am the Wall'.
Dravid: If you make a decision in course of a series, it is nice to have a nice farewell...but I have made my decision now...I did not want to play just for the sake of it.
Dravid: It is perhaps an easy decision.
Dravid: There was no Eureka moment for me. It was a bit of contemplation and thinking. You know this moment has to come to everybody.
Dravid: Did not take my decision on the basis of the performance in Australia.
Dravid: Had spoken to Sachin and my other teammates, and all of them were supportive of my decision.
Dravid: My friends knew that I would be assessing not only my role but also where the Indian Cricket Team stands and what should be the way forward.
Dravid: I have been here for long to know that when you are not doing well you will be criticised.
Dravid: You have to accept criticism and deal with praises as well.
Dravid: If you play for 16 years, there will be time when you will have incredible highs and disappointing lows. I had both. But I have always given my best. No regrets.
Dravid: It was the right time..I had a glorious career. It was time a young player came and play...I had to move on really..
Kumble: On life after retirement, me and Sri(nath) will have some words to share with you.
Kumble: His reassuring presence on the batting crease or on the field helped others to play freely.

Rahul Dravid has arrived at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, where he will make an official announcement.
He had made his international debut in 1996 against England at Lord's where he had scored 95 runs. Since then he has scored 13,288 runs.
He had retired from One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 format in October 2011.
