Mumbai: Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Mumbai on Friday on a day's visit -- his first to Maharashtra after being appointed the party's No.2.
Shortly after arrival in the morning, Mr Gandhi will have a meeting with the district Congress committee and block Congress presidents of Mumbai, an official said in Mumbai Thursday.
This will be followed by a meeting with elected members of the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
Later, he will attend an extended executive meeting of the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee (MRCC).
A MRCC office-bearer said Mr Gandhi was also likely to seek views of leaders on appointments to various key posts in Mumbai district and the state, pending since some time.
