Amethi:
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi would undertake a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency on July 19, his first trip after Amethi was accorded district status by Uttar Pradesh Government.
"Rahul Gandhi will visit a number of villagers and review implementation of centrally funded schemes including Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA), rural electrification and women development project," party sources said on Saturday.
On the second day of his visit, he will inspect Sanjay Gandhi hospital, party sources said.
This would be Rahul's first visit to Amethi parliamentary constituency after Mayawati Government created Chattrapati Shahuji Maharaj Nagar comprising of Amethi parliamentary constituency with Gauriganj as its headquarters early this month.
