Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will be on a two-day visit to Rajasthan starting from July 16.
Mr Gandhi will hold a 'padyatra' at Hanumangarh on the first day of his visit and interact with people there, State Congress Committee President Sachin Pilot told reporters at a function where hundreds of BSP workers joined the party fold.
On July 17, Mr Gandhi will address a conference of party functionaries at Birla Auditorium here, Pilot said.
Elections to about 125 civic bodies are scheduled for next month and he would address all their incumbent representatives and former functionaries, he said.
Mr Gandhi will also interact with public during his visit.
A detailed itinerary of the visit will be released later, he added.
