Rahul Gandhi enquired about the treatment of the five Kashmiri patients.
New Delhi:
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi to enquire about the condition of five Kashmiri patients admitted with severe eye injuries due to pellet guns, hospital authorities said.
Rahul Gandhi reached the AIIMS around 4.30 pm and was there for half an hour. He enquired about the treatment of the five Kashmiri patients.
"Rahul Gandhi met the patients and inquired about their ongoing eye treatment. He was explained about the condition of the patients by the doctors," a senior hospital authority told IANS.
The five Kashmiris, including a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, were admitted to AIIMS on July 23.
The five are among the many who have suffered pellet injuries during the protests in the Kashmir Valley, following the death of terrorist Burhan Wani earlier this month.
