New Delhi:
Just days after his controversial remarks on Hindu terror revealed by WikiLeaks, the Congress' political resolution echoed Rahul Gandhi's line.
And Rahul shifted focus to another issue - the aam aadmi who has been let down by the system.
"The aam aadmi in India is someone who doesn't have any connection with the system. We call him the common man but he is unique, he has immense capabilities, yet our system crushes him," Rahul said.
His message to partymen was clear - that Congress should reach out to the common man and offer a healing touch.
His other focus was on rebuilding the party by removing the sense of isolation among workers.
"Chief Ministers are sitting here, I would like to ask you to spare some time for the members of the organisation. Wherever I go, I always get complaints. I agree that you need to give time to run your Cabinet, but some time should also be devoted to the workers," he said.
By offering advice to party Chief Ministers and Central ministers, Rahul Gandhi has exhibited not just assertiveness but also a certain readiness to take on greater responsibilities within the Congress.
