Rahul's security breached, mob lathicharged

Gwalior: Enthusiastic party workers virtually mobbed All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Rahul Gandhi's car in Gwalior. The police and the Special Protection Group (SPG) were caught off guard; his securitymen had to resort to lathicharge to disperse the mob.

The incident took place when his motorcade was leaving for a function in Gwalior, a group of men were too close to his car which could only move forward after the police dispersed the mob apparently the men wanted to catch a glimpse of Rahul.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi will meet students at the Goa University on Tuesday. The university had issued a notice to all students inviting them to attend an interaction with Rahul Gandhi.

ABVP protested against the university inviting students to attend a 'political function. In response the university has withdrawn the circular inviting students, but Rahul Gandhi's visit and the event planned will continue.

ABVP activists are expected to welcome Rahul with black flags.
