In order to clear the festive season rush, the Railways will run Suvidha Special weekly trains for Mumbai, Howrah, Jammu and Gorakhpur starting first week of October.
The Weekly AC Superfast Suvidha Special trains - Mumbai Central-New Delhi; Mumbai Central-Lucknow Jn; Bandra Terminus-Gorakhpur; Howrah-Anand Vihar; and Howrah-Jammu Tawi - will be pressed into service to cater to the demand of travel during the period.
These trains are run on special fares, which are more than the normal train fares. The minimum fare being in the same range of Tatkal fare for the particular class. The fares would increase after booking of every 20 per cent of seats/berths, subject to maximum three times of Tatkal fare.
The Mumbai Central-New Delhi weekly AC superfast Suvidha special train will depart from Mumbai Central every Friday from October 7 to November 11 at 4 PM to reach New Delhi at 7.55 AM the next day.
In the return journey, it will depart from New Delhi every Saturday from October 8 to November 11 at 02.50 PM to reach Mumbai Central at 6.55 AM the next day.
Consisting of five AC-II tier and eight AC-III tier coaches, the Mumbai Central-New Delhi train will stop at Vadodara and Kota stations enroute in both directions.
The Mumbai Central-Lucknow weekly train will depart from Mumbai Central every Thursday from October 6 to November 10 at 7.45 PM to reach Lucknow at 8.35 PM the next day.
In the return journey, the train will depart from Lucknow every Friday from October 7 to November 11 at 10.45 PM to reach Mumbai Central at 11.10 PM the next day.
Comprising two AC-II Tier, eight AC-III Tier and five sleeper class coaches, the train will stop at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vodadara, Ujjain, Bina, Jhansi, Urai and Kanpur Central stations enroute in both the directions.
The Bandra Terminus-Gorakhpur train will depart from Bandra Terminus every Sunday from October 2 to November 13 at 5.10 AM to reach Gorakhpur at 2.40 PM the next day.
In the return journey, it will depart every Tuesday from October 4 to November 15 at 7 AM to reach Bandra Terminus at 5.35 PM the next day.
It will have two AC-II Tier, four AC-III tier, 10 sleeper class and two disabled-friendly second class-cum-luggage van coaches.
