Kolkata: Food stalls were kept open at major railway stations and essentials were supplied by the Eastern Railway (ER) on trains stranded due to the Bharat bandh on Monday.
Supervisors, inspectors and officers were deployed in advance at major stations to assist passengers of detained trains, ER officials said.
