The national capital is likely to witness heavy rain on Monday, the India Meteorological Department said. The city registered 13 mm rain in the last 24 hours and the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.1 degrees Celsius, it said.
The relative humidity recorded at 8.30 am was 90 per cent. The city's maximum temperature on Monday is expected to hover around 29 degrees Celsius.

Two dead as rain hits Madhya Pradesh, defence aircraft launch rescue operations in 3 flood-hit villages
Defence aircraft launched rescue operations to evacuate people stranded in some flooded villages in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh as heavy rains continued to lash large parts of the state, especially Shivpuri and neighbouring Sheopur districts, leaving two people dead, officials said.
Nearly 60 people, who were stranded in a flooded building located near the Vijaypur bus stand in Sheopur district following heavy rains, were rescued after over seven hours by this noon.

Moderate rains, thundershower at many places in Uttar Pradesh
With the southwest monsoon remaining active across Uttar Pradesh, moderate to heavy rains accompanied by thundershowers occurred at many places in the state, the meteorological department said.
Rainfall of 17 cm was recorded at Tehrauli (Jhansi), 11 cm at Mahroni (Lalitpur), 9 cm each at Kulpahar (Mahoba) and Chilaghat (Jhansi), Beberu (Banda), Dhaurahara (Kheri) and 7 cm each at Talbehat (Lalitpur), Mauranipur (Jhansi), Mahoba, Banda and Nautanwa (Maharajganj), it said.
The highest maximum temperature over the state was 35.7 degrees Celsius recorded at Lakhimpur Kheri observatory while the lowest minimum temperature in the state was 19.6 degrees Celsius recorded at Etawah observatory.
