Rajasthan School Education Minister Vasudev Devnani today said libraries in the state will be digitalised soon and a special drive will be undertaken to increase membership.
"Records of all 41 public libraries in the state will be digitalised by March 31," he said in a review meeting in Jaipur.
To enhance environment of libraries, the Minister suggested officials to hold discussions on relevant issues every month to turn libraries into knowledge hubs.
Libraries should undertake special drives to increase membership, he said, adding facilities should be improved and new books should be purchased.
Senior officials of the language and library department were present in the meeting.
