Dehradun: Dropping hints that Uttarakhand might get a representation when the Central government goes for a Cabinet reshuffle, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today asked the state to "wait".

"Although it is a prerogative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, I can only say that you should wait," Mr Singh said in reply to a question at an interactive session named 'Prabuddha Jana Sangoshthi' with intellectuals in Dehradun.

BJP had bagged all five Lok Sabha seats from the state in 2014 elections but the state has no representation in the Cabinet.

It is being conjectured that the state might get a Cabinet berth after reshuffle, likely in near future.

Uttarakhand goes to polls early next year.

The five Lok Sabha lawmakers include three former chief ministers of the state - Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri, Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
