For a few seconds, Ranveer Singh hijacked co-star Deepika Padukone's moment at the NDTV Indian of the Year 2015 awards as he sang to her.
He hummed a few lines from a song from their latest film Bajirao Mastani and said, "'Deepika is a very generous co-star. You just need to look into her eyes and the scene will happen.'
Accepting the award for Actor of the Year from Amitabh Bacchan and Pawan Munjal, Deepika picked Piku over Bajirao Mastani as her most challenging movie last year.

Mr Bachchan who was Deepika's co-star in Piku, said, "I get to learn from my co-actors. They come very well-prepared. Deepika is improving with every film."
Irrfan Khan, who also stars in Piku, had more words of praise. "Deepika's character when you read the script was a very cranky character. But she turned that crankiness into such a beautiful and endearing character," he said.
Mr Khan also offered to play Deepika's racket if she accepted the offer to play badminton star Saina Nehwal in a biopic. That suggestion came from Saina herself as she accepted the Award for Sportsperson of the Year. She shares it with fellow Hyderabadi Sania Mirza, India's tennis ace.
"May you conquer this new frontiers and make us proud as you always have," said Ranveer Singh, sharing that Deepika leaves tonight for Los Angeles to shoot for upcoming Hollywood sequel xXx opposite Vin Diesel.
