Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court have adjourned the bail plea for former Haryana top Cop SPS Rathore, who has been convicted and sent to jail for molesting teenager Ruchika Girhotra 20 years ago.
Rathore was handed an 18-month sentence on May 25 by a Sessions court.
He has spent nine nights in jail. His wife and counsel Abha Rathore had filed a bail petition in the High Court.
Rathore has been convicted for molesting Ruchika in 1990. She committed suicide three years later.
