Hit by Cyclone Phailin and resultant floods, the Odisha government today sought immediate release of Rs 1,523 crore to expedite relief and restoration works in the affected areas.
The demand was made by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
