Nirmal Singh said the state government is thankful to centre that PM himself has extended support.

Asserting that the state government is keen to restore normalcy in the Kashmir Valley, Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh today said all those who want restoration of peace and normalcy would be taken on board.
"The government is keen to restore normalcy in Kashmir, but it is also a fact that there are certain people who don't want peace. The government is taking action as per the law," he said.
He said the government is making endevour to address grievances of the people.
"In the days to come, it would be our efforts that all the people who want peace in Jammu and Kashmir and development are taken on board for talks. If they have grievances, we will listen to them and redress them," Mr Singh said.
Mr Singh said the state government is "thankful" to the centre that the Prime Minister himself has extended his support.
"The centre has extended its support and gave security and that is why things have returned to normal. The violence that was there in the beginning has come down," Mr Singh said.
The deputy chief minister expressed happiness that the parties showed consensus on the Kashmir issue during the all-party meeting held in New Delhi on Friday.
Mr Singh said it was a welcome step that Pakistan's undue "interference" has been rejected.
"The only outstanding issue is Pakistan occupied Kashmir, a resolution (to this effect) was passed by our Parliament in 1994," he said.
He said whatever happened in Kashmir was under investigation and action would be taken against the culprits.
He said Saturday's attack near Buddha Amarnath was a desperate attempt by anti-national elements to disturb peace in the Jammu region.
"In the past one month, anti-national elements and Pakistan elements were trying to vitiate atmosphere in Jammu but people of all religions here showed unity and their attempts failed, so the desperate attempt was made to disrupt Buda Amaranth Yatra," Mr Singh said.
He said the anti-national elements feel that unless Jammu is disrupted their designs would not succeed.
"We evacuated the people who were injured in the blast with the help of army and their treatment is going on," he said.
"The government is keen to restore normalcy in Kashmir, but it is also a fact that there are certain people who don't want peace. The government is taking action as per the law," he said.
