'Request PM to take the matter seriously'

New Delhi: A relative of the patient who died during the Prime Minister's visit to Chandigarh on Tuesday has said that the matter should be taken seriously.

Speaking to NDTV, the deceased patient Sumit Verma's nephew Deeraj Verma, said, "I lost my uncle he will not come back. I request the PM to take the matter seriously. There's no one to look after his kids. No one's earning in the family."

Recalling Tuesday's incident, he said, "Our car was stopped at Gate 1, they didn't allow us to enter. We went from gate to gate but it didn't help. Our uncle was crying badly saying 'please save me'. He was only 32. My only humble request to PM is that the family should be looked after."
