Mumbai:
To finalise the commercial halts for non-stop Duronto trains, the Railways is suspending from Thursday all types of reservations of these services for the journey starting from January 1, 2016 onwards till further notice.
The reservation for journey starting from January 1, 2016, bookings for which will open on September 3, has been suspended for the implementation of commercial halts and the reservations will not be available on internet and at reservation centres, the Central Railway said in a statement.
The CR has also issued a list of trains for which the advanced bookings for January 1 next year would not be available.
"This decision would be applicable not only for those Duronto trains originating under CR, but all 73 Duronto trains which run across all the zonal territories of Indian Railway," a senior Central Railway official said on Wednesday.
"The date of opening of bookings for these Duronto Express trains with commercial halts will be notified once the final decision about the halts is taken," the official added.
When the decision to provide the commercial halts gets implemented, 12219 LTT-Secunderabad Duronto Express would halt at Pune, 12221 Pune-Howrah Duronto Express at Daund, Manmad, Bhusaval, Nagpur, Bilaspur, Tatanager stations, and 12223 LTT-Ernakulam Duronto Express at Ratnagiri, Madgaon, Mangalore Junction and Kozhikode stations, as per the release.
It further stated that 12261 Mumbai-Howrah Duronto Express would stop at Igatpuri, Bhusaval, Nagpur, Bilaspur, and Tatanager stations, while 12263 Pune-Hazrat Nizamuddin Duronto Express at Lonavala, Vasai Road, Vadodara, Ratlam, and Kota stations.
While 12289/12290 Mumbai- Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express would halt at Igatpuri and Bhusawal stations, 12293 LTT-Allahabad Duronto Express at Igatpuri, Bhusaval and Satna stations, it stated, adding that 12298 Pune-Ahmedabad Duronto Express would have halt at Lonavala station after the commercial halts are finalised.
