New Delhi: It was the hottest ticket in town. But Congress leader Gurudas Kamat sent his regrets. He refused to attend the swearing-in of the new Cabinet ministers at Rashtrapati Bhawan to protest against the fact that he wasn't among them.
But Mr Kamat had denied that he was upset about the new ministry assigned to him. In a press note issued today, Mr Kamat reiterated, "Neither have I been sacked nor threatened. It is my own personal request to be relieved which Hon'ble Prime Minister has done now."

And today, the Prime Minister has allegedly accepted Mr Kamat's resignation from the Council of Ministers:
