Bundi, Rajasthan: A revenue official (patwari) has been caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 1500 in Keshoraipatan area of the district, ACB official said in Bundi today.
Neeraj Gupta, Circle In-charge (CI) of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), Bundi, said that the revenue official Shyojiram Meena had demanded the sum from one Mahaveer Meena for removing names from mutation of an agriculture land.
Mahaveer Meena, a farmer of Ishwarnagar village, brought the matter to the notice of ACB on October 20, Mr Gupta said.
Following verification, ACB sleuth laid a trap and caught the patwari red handed at his residence on Mala Road yesterday.
The accused revenue official would be produced before the ACB court today, Mr Gupta said.
Further probe into the matter was on, he added.
