Dehradun:
About 32 lakh pensioners across the country have benefitted from the revision of minimum pension to Rs 1,000, out of which 4,439 pensioners are from Uttarakhand alone, Union Minister for Women and Child Welfare Maneka Gandhi said today.
Raising minimum monthly pension to Rs 1,000 was one of the three major social security schemes launched by Narendra Modi-led government within 100 days of coming to power, she said while addressing a felicitation function held in Dehradun today by Employees' Provident Fund Organisation.
Asking everyone to make their contribution to 'Clean India' mission to be launched across the country from October 2, she said that if every citizen of this country spares at least two hours every week or 100 hours in a year to clean up their home, place of work, village, town or neighbourhood, the vision of 'Clean India' would become a reality.
