Jorhat, Assam:
Suspected poachers on Tuesday killed a rhino in the Kaziranga National Park, a forest official said.
The carcass of the female adult rhino was spotted by patrolling guards near Tunikhati forest camp under Burapahar Range, Park Divisional Forest Officer Subhas Das said. A 303 rifle and 18 empty cartridges were recovered from the site, he said.
Five rhinos have been killed so far by poachers this year.
Security inside the Park has been intensified in the park.
