Nalanda: Rajballabh Yadav, a Rashtriya Janata Dal or RJD legislator from Bihar who has been accused of raping a minor, has been suspended by the party.
A minor girl from Nalanda has said in her police complaint that she was raped by the MLA at his house in the presence of a woman who had also forced her to have liquor.
A senior police officer who supervised the investigation said he has ordered Mr Yadav's arrest.
This is not the first time the Nawada MLA has been charged in a criminal case, sources said.
The RJD is the majority partner in the Nitish Kumar-led Grand Alliance government in the state.
