New Delhi:

The Energy and Resources Institute or TERI Director Rajendra Kumar Pachauri, who is facing sexual harassment allegations by a woman employee, has withdrawn his bail application from the Delhi High Court and is likely to move the trial court for relief.

The bail application filed by Mr Pachauri before Justice SP Garg was deleted from the cause list as he has to seek relief from the trial court.

Justice Garg, on February 19, had given interim protection from arrest to Mr Pachauri after he moved the High Court seeking anticipatory bail on the apprehension that during investigation the police might take him in custody.

While passing the order earlier, the court had disposed of his application following which he had to move the bail plea before the appropriate judge of trial court.

On February 19, the High Court had modified its earlier order restraining media houses from publishing allegations made against TERI Director-General, RK Pachauri, by a woman research analyst of the city-based think tank.

Mr Pachauri, while seeking an injunction against media from publishing the matter, had denied all the allegations and said he has been a victim of hacking.
