Kolkata: The principal of La Martiniere School for boys and three other teachers were given bail by a Kolkata court today in connection with the suicide of 13-year-old Rouvanjit Rawla.
The court will now frame charges against the four accused on February 17.
All four have so far been charged with causing grievous hurt to Rouvanjit who committed suicide on February 12 last year.
The court will now have to fix whether the boy's suicide was directly linked to the fact that he had been caned by the principal four days before his death and allegedly humiliated by the three teachers for months before that.
