In a statement which could kick up another political controversy, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Saturday described the RSS as a band of "vyabhichari" (dissolute) persons.
"These RSS people claim to be brahmachari (celibate) but are, in fact, vyabhichari (dissolute)," he said of the fountainhead of saffron ideology.
Lalu had set off a controversy with his 'crush-under-roller' remark against BJP leader Varun Gandhi for his hate speeches. His wife and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi had kicked up a storm by saying Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Bihar's JD(U) president Lalan Singh were each other's 'sala', a derogatory term.
The Election Commission had pulled up the couple for their remarks and asked them to be careful about what they speak.
