New Delhi:
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has upheld the authority of LK Advani. Speaking to the media on Monday, he said there is no doubt that the crisis in BJP will be resolved with a leader of Advani's stature to guide the party.
There has been intense speculation on the timeframe of when LK Advani will step down as Leader of Opposition and pass on the mantle to the next generation.
Bhagwat also said that Advani and Rajnath will set their future role.
Meanwhile, former RSS chief K Sudarshan on Monday visited LK Advani at his residence. The RSS is, in a big way, lending all support to Advani who's been in the thick of controversy over Kandahar, poll loss and infighting in the party.
The RSS core group is meeting on Tuesday for three days. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat told the media on Monday on his way to Raiwala, near Haridwar, that the meeting is on. He did not confirm though about who will be attending the meeting.
The meeting is expected to discuss what the top BJP leadership will look like.
A clear roadmap for the BJP can be expected after the Sangh's national executive meeting next month.
