The RSS has defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's attack on cow vigilantes saying he only alerted about the perils while carrying out a "noble" job and that one should not act in an evil way while serving the cause.
In response to a question on PM's attack on cow vigilantes, senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar said no one can break the will of those serving the cow.
"The Prime Minister has alerted about the perils in doing a noble job and one should not act in an evil way while doing so," Mr Kumar said, adding that of the 700 million people on the planet 550 million consume cow milk.
Lashing out at cow vigilantes over a recent attack on dalits, Prime Minister Modi had said some people have set up shops in the name 'gauraksha'.
"If you want to attack, attack me and not Dalits. If you want to shoot, shoot me and not Dalits," PM Modi had said.
