Chandigarh: In CCTV footage from Saturday night in Punjab's Jalandhar, two men are seen on a bike, their faces covered with handkerchiefs.
Moments later, they fired shots at a leader of the RSS or Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Jagdish Gagneja, leaving him critical.
Mr Gagneja was in a car with his wife when he was attacked around 8 pm in a busy market complex. He was allegedly shot thrice.
The police have released sketches based on CCTV footage retrieved from a shop. They have offered 10 lakh cash and a constable's job for information.
Mr Gagneja is still in hospital.
The video shows the men stop their bike on spotting the RSS leader's car. The man riding pillion takes out his pistol while approaching the car and is follower by the driver. Both fire shots at Mr Gagneja and run away within seconds.
The Punjab police have also formed a Special Investigation Team.
