RSS plans protest marches against terror allegations

Ahmedabad: Terming as a political conspiracy the linking of its senior member Indresh Kumar with the Ajmer bomb blast case by the Rajasthan ATS, RSS has announced a nationwide agitation on November 10.

"By linking Indresh Kumar with terrorist activities, the Union government and the Home minister are attempting to tarnish the image of RSS," Gujarat unit chief of RSS Amrut Kadiwala told mediapersons here.

"This is a direct attack on the Sangh and a political conspiracy to demean the organisation," he said.

According to Kadiwala, protest marches would be held on November 10 in all districts of the country, against the alleged charges slapped on Kumar.

Members of RSS would also submit memorandums in this regard to the respective district collectors, he said.

Kadiwala said the decision to organise nationwide protests was taken during the recently concluded meet of the RSS national executive in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.

Kumar's name figures in the charge sheet related to the 2007 Ajmer Dargah blast, where the Rajasthan ATS has alleged that he was present at a secret meeting held in a Gujarati guest house in Jaipur on October 31, 2005, in which six other functionaries of the organisation were also present.

Kadiwala also took a dig at Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi and said that he was "childish" and had no idea about the Sangh philosophy.

He was reacting to Rahul's comments that the RSS was "fanatical" and was no different from banned terror outfit Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) as both held "fundamentalist" views.

"Rahul is still childish. He doesn't know the difference between Shibir and Sangh," Kadiwala said, adding that the Amethi MP still had to learn a lot.
