Panaji: RSS workers wearing burkhas were present at BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's public rally in Goa on Sunday, the Congress alleged on Monday.
Addressing a press conference, Congress spokesperson Babu Azgaonkar said: "RSS workers were given burkhas specially tailored and they were seated at the rally to make it appear that minority community members were attending in large numbers."
He also named two BJP party leaders who Mr Azgaonkar said were responsible for tailoring nearly 5,000 burkhas for the meeting.
Over one lakh people, an unprecedented number in Goa, attended Mr Modi's public meeting held on the outskirts of Panaji on Sunday.
