Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad crime branch has arrested a police constable in connection with the murder of RTI activist Amit Jethwa.
Constable Bahadur who has been arrested in the case was posted in Gir police station. Another person, a forest guard also been detained.
Amit Jethwa was shot dead on July 20 outside Gujarat High Court by two men on a motorcycle.
Jethwa's family had alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Junagadh Dinubhai Solanki was behind the murder since Jethwa had exposed mining mafia activity around the Gir sanctuary area.
However, the police have still found nothing to link the killing to BJP MP Solanki.
