More details emerging on the shocking cover up in the Ruchika Girhotra case, her friend Aradhna's father Anand Prakash on NDTV show We The People said that he had been under constant pressure to detach himself from the case.

Prakash recounts how year after year he was forced to work under the same corrupt officers who were trying to quash the case and openly demanded that he withdraw from this fight.

Barkha Dutt: What was the most difficult thing for you? You have been fighting for 19 years, what was the most difficult thing?
Anand Prakash: The most difficult thing was to maintain myself in service under these corrupt officers for 19 years. So, whosoever government chief administrator maybe additional commissioner, every time they told me either you leave this case or face consequences. One fine morning it was June 22, it was the message of Mr Chautala through Additional Commissioner Mr Nasim Ahmad who was considered the most honest officer who called me and said either you help Mr Rathore and get the case withdrawn or we are doing away from your service.
Barkha Dutt: He said this openly to you?
Anand Prakash: Openly to me and this is also in record in High Court and I told him simply before in comparison to my daughter's honour I can leave this service but I can't leave it in honour of my daughter.
