New Delhi:
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is set to arrive in India this week, joining a long line of world leaders visiting the rising Asian power in search of trade and investment.
The two countries are expected to sign a number of agreements, including the general framework for Russia's building two more nuclear power plants in south India. Russia is already constructing two nuclear plants in Tamil Nadu.
A Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Sunday that talks between Medvedev and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh are expected to further strengthen and deepen the decades-old close relations that the two countries share.
Medvedev arrives on Tuesday for his two-day visit.
