In a case that brings back memories of the shocking Scarlett Keeling case, yet another foreign tourist has been found dead in Goa.
Nineteen-year-old Russian national Elena Sukova was found dead on Thursday. Elena's body was found cut to pieces on the tracks close to Goa's Thivim station.
Elena came to Goa on the sixth and checked into a hotel at Baga beach. On the night of the 7th she moved to another hotel. Hotel records shows she came alone and left alone between 10 and 10:30pm.
The Goa police is now trying to find out if Elena was accompanied by anyone during her stay in Goa to figure out how she died.
The Goa police say they will comment only after they get the post mortem report. It's perhaps the impact of the Scarlet Keeling case but they are treading carefully.
