- As far as my information goes, the Pakistani High Commissioner was spoken to this morning.
- We have conveyed very strongly our concern and protest
- We cannot and must on escalate the incident
- We had the discussion on December 27 on conventional Confidence Building Measures (CBM) and non-violation of the Line of Control is the most important part of that CBM
- So the violation in itself is a matter of great concern
- The manner in which soldier's body was treated is a matter of grave concern
- There is a sense of hurt and that has been conveyed
- I hope there will be a response from the other side
- This could have an adverse effect on what we have been trying for so long
- We cannot and must not let this incident escalate
