Sitapur:
Son of a Samajwadi Party MLA died today when his car rammed into a truck at Jalalpur locality on National Highway 24, the police said.
Shailendra Jaiswal (30), son of SP MLA Radheyshyam Jaiswal of the Sitapur constituency, was going to Lucknow when his Tavera car rammed into a truck while trying to overtake it in the Khairabad area, police said. The officials said he died on the spot.
Mr Jaiswal was accompanied by his driver and a security personnel, who were also injured in the mishap, police said.
They have been admitted to the district hospital.
