School bus accident near Gulmarg: Three dead, 52 children hurt

Srinagar: One student, a staff member of the Iqra Educational Institute in Kupwara district, and a bus operator have been killed, and 52 children hurt during a school excursion after their bus met with an an accident near Gulmarg.

Three school buses were on their way to the Baba Rishi Shrine when one of the buses with more than 50 people, fell into a gorge while negotiating a turn.

Most of the injured have been taken to the Sher-E- Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) where they are undergoing treatment.
