New Delhi: A private cab driver attached to a south Delhi school has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a five-year-old girl.
The child, a pre-nursery student, had reportedly not gone to school for two weeks on complaints of fever.
Her parents went to the police when she reportedly told them about the abuse on Monday evening.
Vipin, hired to drive children to school, was then arrested. He has been sent to 14 days judicial custody.
The police have found that the girl was alone with the driver for a 15-minute stretch from her house in the Kalkaji area to Greater Kailash, where other children joined her.
This incident has surfaced a day after Bangalore faced a second case of alleged sexual abuse of a schoolgirl. A 70-year-old part-time teacher has been arrested after an eight-year-old alleged that she had been abused by him. The IT city was outraged last month by the rape of a six-year-old at a top school.
