Chennai: In Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa may have taken away the colours of the DMK's erstwhile rainbow coalition, but her own alliance is now being eclipsed by seat sharing squabbles.
Vaiko has had to use his debating skills to have his demand for five seats met. But that's hardly the end of seat sharing hassles for Amma.
She's having a tough time meeting the expectations of all her new allies poached from the DMK front.
Vaiko wants Kancheepuram but the AIADMK has many contenders for this seat. The PMK isn't too happy about contesting from Chidambaram, as it's the bastion of the VCK in the opposite camp. And the CPM has been clamouring for Tirupur but the AIADMK is strong there.
Says Jayalalithaa: "An agreement will be reached in one or two days."
The DMK-Congress front has already completed its seat sharing exercise and Karunanidhi has also released his party manifesto.
Although numerically now stronger, the AIADMK coalition may realise that more is not always merrier in politics!
