Vadodara: Security has been stepped up for the immersion of Lord Ganesha idols tomorrow, which culminates the 10-day-long celebrations.
The police for the first time will be using a CCTV camera van - 'Prahar' to keep a hawk eye on the proceedings.
"We will be using this high-tech van to keep a watch on the movements of people," city police commissioner E Radhakrishna said.
Scores of devotees will take part in different processions tomorrow, when idols of Lord Ganesh will be immersed in ponds and lakes, thus culminating the 10-day-long celebrations.
Meanwhile, three companies of Rapid Acid Force, one company of Border Security Force and four companies of State Reserve Police and home guards personnel have been deployed in the city along with 2,000 police personnel.
