Srinagar:
In the wake of on and off tension in the Valley, the Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Union Home Ministry, U K Bansal, went to Srinagar .
After meeting Governor N N Vohra and discussing the overall security situation in the state, Bansal said that he was not there to make any assessment.
"I am here to gather information, talk to people and carry back my impressions," said U K Bansal.
The meeting lasted an hour. However, he denied entertaining any questions on security.
"My purpose of visit is very different , these are issues on which the State Government will respond," Bansal added.
