Srinagar: According to police sources, seven terrorists were killed after a gunfight broke out on Monday between security forces and terrorists in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
After receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the forest area near Dardpora (Lolab) village of Kupwara, a "cordon and search" operation was launched by security forces.
The army patrol party was fired upon during the search and seven terrorists were killed in retaliatory firing.
Security has been increased as more terrorists are believed to be hiding in the forest.
