Several new faces in YSR cabinet

Several new faces in YSR cabinet
Hyderabad:

Several new faces will make it to Rajasekhara Reddy's cabinet this time as one-third of his ministers, many of them political heavyweights, bit the dust in the assembly elections. YSR admits the minister's complacency cost them dear.

Andhra Pradesh's labour minister G Vinod will not enjoy the fruit of his labour for the next five years. Vinod is among the 14 ministers in Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's cabinet who were vanquished in the assembly elections. Vinod says that the poll arithmetic and Chiranjeevi played spoilsport with their chances.

"I got 35000 votes, PRP we never expected to get 21000 votes and that is a huge chunk. TRS won 44000 votes," said G Vinod, Former Labour minister, AP.

YSR admits many of his high-profile MLAs and the Assembly speaker Suresh Reddy were done in by local factors in their constituencies.

"At any level, voters cannot be taken for granted. You have to be vigilant through and through in any given moment in political life. One is a little complacent and one has had it," put forth Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Chief minister, AP.

The Central Congress leadership has reportedly advised YSR to go in for more young faces in his new cabinet. That would be in keeping with the flavour of the season as 146 new MLAs from different political parties, have made it to the Andhra Pradesh assembly this time.
