A Delhi metro employee stabbed his wife and two children before hanging himself in a grisly murder-suicide case reported from the national capital today. Police say the man, 45-year-old Sushil Kumar, his wife, 40-year-old Anuradha, and six-year-old daughter Aditi, died, while his 13-year-old son, Yuvaraj, is undergoing treatment for stab injuries at a hospital.
The incident was reported from Jyoti Colony in North East Delhi's Shahdara district.
Sushil worked as a supervisor at the Delhi metro depot in East Vinod Nagar, Shahdara Deputy Commissioner of Police Rohit Meena said. After stabbing his family members, Sushil looked up "how to tie knot" on his computer, before hanging himself, police said.
A PCR call was received at around 12 pm where a Delhi Metro employee informed that when he reached out to his colleague Sushil Kumar, who did not come to the office, he was crying over the call and said that he killed everybody, a senior police officer said.
Police reached Sushil Kumar's house and found three bodies there. The forensic science laboratory (FSL) teams are inspecting the spot.
