New Delhi: Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Wednesday reopened the Bt brinjal debate after his cabinet colleague Jairam Ramesh put it on hold.
Pawar said to overcome the country's food shortage, one has to rely on science and technology.
He also said the decision to put Bt brinjal on hold is not a setback
"If we have to solve the food shortage problem of this country, then we will have to rely on science and technology. During the green revolution also modern seeds and technology played a key role in increasing production," he said.
