Mumbai:

More trouble is in for Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, who is currently in judicial custody for allegedly raping his domestic help.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan on Friday said medical reports confirm that there was rape, and the case has been fast-tracked to ensure speedy justice for the victim.

"Medical reports show that there was rape. We promise financial assistance and relief for the victim. This case will be given to a fast-track court," said Chavan.

He was addressing a press conference along with National Commission for Women chairperson Girija Vyas, who met the victim and her family on Friday.

Vyas said that prima facie rape is proved, and they denounce it strongly. She further said that medical reports given prove that Shiney Ahuja's maid was raped.

"We are satisfied with the way the case is being handled," said Vyas.
