Mumbai: The Shiv Sena has sought a "Google Doodle" from the US based search engine for its late founder, Bal Thackeray, to mark his 89th birth anniversary on January 23.
Rahul Shewale, Shiv Sena MP from Mumbai south central, said he has written to Google and to senior BJP leaders, including Finance and Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad seeking their help in getting the doodle.
Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on the Google search's homepage that is intended to commemorate holidays, events and achievements of people.
