Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Aam Aadmi Party today staged protests against the Centre over CBI's raid at the office of the Principal Secretary of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal even as Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan decried the language used by Mr Kejriwal against the Prime Minister.

AAP activists burnt effigies of Union Government at Indore, Gwalior, Rewa, Jabalpur, Guna, Vidisha, Sagar, Ujjain and Raghogarh among other places, a party release said.

AAP national spokesperson and state coordinator Alok Agrawal termed the raid as "vendetta politics".

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chouhan, reacting to  Mr Kejriwal's statement, tweeted without naming anyone that "we may have difference of opinion but maintaining decorum & mutual respect are pillars of democracy. Sanctity of language is 1st requisite.

"While holding high office, exercising restraint and humbleness are greatly essential. A true leader will always reflect maturity in adversity.

"Kind of language used against Prime Minister by a person holding high office is shocking, it's an insult to our democratic traditions," Mr Chouhan said in a series of tweets.

The office of Delhi Chief Minister's principal secretary was today raided by CBI in a corruption case following which a furious Mr Kejriwal lambasted the Centre and termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as "coward" and "psychopath".
